Project "Space Bee"
A crew of eight sets off for the edge of our galaxy aboard the most advanced spaceship, the Meravella. But something goes wrong as cryosleep begins, because a bee has found its way into the chamber and causes a malfunction. Now one member of the crew is forced to endure the journey while awake. Alone with himself for an entire year. Almost! Because Bee and the ship’s AI are still there too, helping him get through the time. Even so, the fight against the boundless universe and loneliness becomes a serious challenge.
The Journey Through Space
The Meravella flies in autopilot mode to the edge of the Oort Cloud, a distance of one light-year, or 9,460,730,472,580.8 km.
So, quite a distance. For this, the shuttle has a special propulsion system that makes it possible to travel at the speed of light and complete the journey within one year.
Beyond it lie countless other solar systems, wormholes and asteroid clouds. A completely unexplored region that no human has ever set foot in before.
The Meravella
The Meravella is a space shuttle planned and built by the brightest minds in the world. It has three accessible decks connected by a lift.
On the uppermost level are the bridge, a star map, the meeting room, a laboratory and the captain’s private room.
On the middle level are four sleeping quarters, server rooms, maintenance rooms and the cryochamber with the capsules.
On the lowest level are three additional sleeping quarters, the infirmary, a communications room and the lounge, including the kitchen.
Additional storage spaces have been built into the intermediate levels, but they do not have direct access.
